Online support whenever you need it.

The ClubOptiSlim program offers one of the most comprehensive weight loss websites, which includes your daily diet diary, shopping lists, chat rooms, over 1400 recipes, the nutrition content of over 20,000 food and drink items, and more. You can even mix and match your meals, or treat yourself to a restaurant dinner or fast food craving – the program helps you decide what you can eat.

Enjoy family friendly meals and you can eat carbohydrates.

The ClubOptiSlim Program is designed to help educate members on long term healthy lifestyle behaviours. How many calories are in each shake?

Approximately 204 calories or 856 kilojoules.

How much carbohydrate is in each shake?

An average of around 22g per shake. The body requires carbohydrate to function properly as it is our main fuel supply (just like petrol in a car). Around 50-60% of the energy from food should come from carbohydrates. Carbohydrates break down to sugar (glucose) in the body and should be eaten regularly throughout the day to keep energy levels up.

How much sugar is in each shake?

The term sugars on the nutrition panel refers to all the naturally occurring sugar in fruits (fructose) and milk (lactose) and added sugars (sucrose). The average amount of added sugar (sucrose) is around 5.2g per shake (~1 teaspoon), with the remainder being fructose (fruit sugar) and lactose (milk sugar). The sugars are used to enhance flavour and assist with meeting carbohydrate targets in the shakes.

How many vitamins and minerals are in the shakes?

There are 25 vitamins and minerals in each shake which are essential to good health and well-being.

Is there any vitamin K in the shakes?

No.

Are the shakes gluten-free?

No.

Do the shakes contain lactose?

Yes, there is a small amount of lactose in the shakes. The amount for each shake is approximately the same as 1/3 of the lactose found in 1 glass of milk which some people who are lactose intolerant can tolerate. Lactase drops or tablets which digest lactose can be purchased from pharmacies for people who have an intolerance to enable them to drink the shakes.

Do the shakes contain fibre?

No. To ensure that your digestive system remains healthy we recommend that you use the ClubOptiSlim Fibre daily.

Are there any preservatives in the shakes?

No.

Are the shakes suitable for vegetarians?

Only if the vegetarian eats dairy, as the protein content in the shakes is from milk. There are no other animal products in the shakes.

Is there any caffeine in the shakes?

Only in the Café Latte and Royal Chocolate flavours. The amount of caffeine in the Café Latte shake is ~75mg (about the same as a cup of instant coffee) and the Royal Chocolate has ~0.5mg.

Preparation

How are the shakes prepared?

Pour 200 ml of cold water into a container, add the contents of 1 sachet and shake to blend.

Can the shakes be made up with milk?

Yes, but this will add extra calories and may slow down your weight loss. Skim milk or low-fat milk is recommended to minimise calories.

Can the shakes be made up with soy milk?

Yes, but this will add extra calories and may slow down your weight loss. Low fat or non-fat soy milk is recommended to minimise calories.

How many calories would be in each shake if made with skim milk/non fat soy milk?

Approximately 270 calories or 1134 kilojoules.

Usage

How many meals can be replaced with the shakes?

Can the shakes be used to replace all meals?

No, as the shakes are not formulated for this purpose.

Who requires medical supervision whilst on the ClubOptiSlim Program?

High Blood Pressure

A reduction in blood pressure medication may be required as weight loss occurs; therefore it is advisable that you inform your doctor prior to undertaking the program.

High Cholesterol

As the program is low in fat and promotes weight loss, it can help lower cholesterol levels. Please consult your doctor if you are on medication as the dose may need to be adjusted as weight loss occurs.

Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetic

Diabetics who are diet controlled are well suited to the program. Those on medication will need to consult their Doctor as a change in dose may be required as weight loss occurs.

Medication Concerns

Any questions about medication need to be discussed with a Pharmacist or Doctor. Anyone taking medication, especially for epilepsy, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, depression or thyroid, require frequent monitoring by their Doctor as the dose may need to be adjusted as weight loss occurs.

Will the shakes interfere with any medications I may be taking?

If you have been advised to avoid certain vitamins or minerals, you should check with your Doctor or Pharmacist before using the shakes. The shakes are only a food, however, there are some medications that require a limit of certain vitamins and minerals to prevent them interfering with absorption.
